The pay model for this role is fee-split, and total per session, per project, compensation will be decided based on experience and suitability to the role.
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Comprehensive Consultations: Provide thorough consultations for a variety of health products, including treatments for men’s and women’s health, dermatology and weight management, TRT, and hormone replacement therapy.
- Communication and Documentation: Ensure that all patient inquiries and communications from team members are clearly documented and addressed. Keep your internal communication inbox up to date and respond promptly.
- Prescription Management: Properly inform patients when their prescriptions have been authorized and submitted to the pharmacy. Clearly document any necessary instructions or notes in the system.
- EMR Monitoring: Stay on top of urgent requests from various internal teams and channels, ensuring they are handled swiftly and accurately.
- Client Interaction: Engage and onboard clients; offer medical advice and suggest suitable products based on their profiles.
- Email Management: Review and respond to emails from designated medical support accounts during and before the end of your shift.
- Consultation Review: Regularly review and process consultations from partner services during your shift.
- Prescription Accuracy: Ensure that prescriptions are clear, accurate, and timely, facilitating a smooth process for the pharmacy to dispense medications without delays.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the various products, subscriptions, and packages offered.
- Patient Messaging: Provide clear and consistent communication to patients regarding their medication approvals and any necessary follow-up actions.
- Task Delegation: Direct appropriate requests to the relevant team members, such as forwarding refund inquiries to customer service or medication cards to the pharmacy team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Masters of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Doctorate or equivalent degree from an accredited institution. Completion of a Nurse Practitioner certificate or diploma program is required.
- Licensure: Current and unrestricted registration as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with the Order of Nurses of Quebec
- Multi-provincial licenses are favored.
- Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in both English and French, with the ability to conduct consultations, documentations, and patient interactions in both languages.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a diverse healthcare setting.
- Advanced Certification: Certification in specific areas such as Primary Health Care (PHC), Acute Care, or Adult Care is preferred.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification are considered assets.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build rapport and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
- Critical Thinking: Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in fast-paced or complex healthcare settings.
- Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Documentation: Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for accurate and thorough patient documentation.
- Patient Education: Skilled in educating patients about their conditions, treatments, and preventive care in a clear and understandable manner.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, contributing to a cohesive and supportive work environment.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing healthcare environments and patient needs.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
